We just wrapped up a full roof installation in Palmer, MN - and this one came out really clean. The homeowner went with Tamko Titan XT shingles in Black Walnut, and honestly it's a sharp color choice. That mix of dark gray with subtle warm undertones gives the home a really grounded, finished look without trying too hard.

Tamko Titan XT is not just a pretty shingle either. These are built to handle what Minnesota throws at a roof - heavy snow loads, wind, freeze-thaw cycles, the whole deal. When you're replacing a roof up here, you want something that's going to hold up through years of real weather, not just look good on day one.

Here's what we were working with - a multi-pitch roof with several intersecting ridgelines. That kind of layout takes more care than a simple gable. Every valley and hip has to be laid out right, and the ridge venting has to be positioned properly for the whole system to work the way it should. We take that stuff seriously on every job.

A lot of homeowners put off roofing until something is actively leaking. But by that point, you've usually got more damage than just shingles to deal with - decking, insulation, sometimes interior water damage. Getting ahead of it when the roof is showing age, but before it fails, is almost always the smarter and less expensive call.

Palmer is a small community, and word travels fast when work is done right - or when it isn't. We're proud of what this one looks like, and more importantly, proud of how it was built. If your roof is getting up there in years, it's worth having someone take an honest look at where things stand.
